How we handle your information

The short version
Honestly? We could hoover up a lot of data. We don't. We keep the basics that make hola work and help us match you to the right roles — and we're not in the business of selling your data, profiling you for advertisers, or following you around the web. Want to see, fix, or delete what we hold? Email privacy@hola.career and we'll sort it out. The rest of this page is the same thing, spelled out.
Who we are
Hola Career ("Hola", "we") is a product built by Jesse Heaslip in Puerto Escondido, Oaxaca, Mexico. Privacy questions or requests: privacy@hola.career.
What we collect
- your email, and whether you're a candidate or a company;
- your résumé and the preferences you set, if you share them — so we can match you to roles;
- basic, mostly-anonymous usage analytics (device, approximate location, how you move through the site);
- public professional info we look up (your work profile, portfolio, employer pages) to sharpen those matches.
We don't ask for government IDs, financial details, or sensitive data (health, religion, and the like) — and please don't type any into the site; nothing here needs it.
What we do with it
Match you to roles, run and improve the product, and keep it from being abused. That's the whole list. We don't sell your information and we don't share it for advertising.
Who touches it
A few service providers, each only doing their one job: Neon (database), Vercel (hosting), and PostHog (product analytics) — all in the United States. We'll only hand your data to anyone else if the law forces us, and we'll tell you unless we're legally barred from it.
Your rights
Under Mexican law (LFPDPPP) and similar rules elsewhere, you can access, correct, delete, or object to our use of your data. Email privacy@hola.career from your signup address and we'll handle it within 20 business days.
How long we keep it
Until you ask us to delete it, or until we wind the service down. Anonymous aggregates (like "how many signups came from Mexico in March") may stick around, since they can't be traced back to you.
Cookies and analytics
Just what's needed to run the site, plus first-party PostHog analytics — an anonymous id for your browser, which we may link to your email if you sign up. No ad cookies, no cross-site tracking. Rather not be counted? Block analytics, turn on "Do Not Track", or email privacy@hola.career and we'll leave you out.
Changes to this notice
We'll update this as the product changes; the date up top reflects the latest version, and we'll flag anything significant.

Guardamos lo básico que hace funcionar a hola y nos ayuda a conectarte con los roles correctos — y no estamos en el negocio de vender tus datos, perfilarte para anunciantes, ni seguirte por la web. ¿Quieres ver, corregir o eliminar lo que tenemos? Quiénes somos
Hola Career ("Hola", "nosotros") es un producto creado por Jesse Heaslip en Puerto Escondido, Oaxaca, México. Consultas o solicitudes de privacidad: privacy@hola.career.
Qué recopilamos
- tu correo, y si eres candidato o empresa;
- tu currículum y las preferencias que configures, si las compartes — para conectarte con roles;
- analítica de uso básica y mayormente anónima (dispositivo, ubicación aproximada, cómo te mueves por el sitio);
- información profesional pública que consultamos (tu perfil laboral, portafolio, páginas de empleadores) para afinar esas recomendaciones.
No pedimos identificaciones oficiales, datos financieros, ni datos sensibles (de salud, religiosos y similares) — y por favor no ingreses ninguno en el sitio; nada aquí lo requiere.
Para qué la usamos
Conectarte con roles, operar y mejorar el producto, y evitar que se abuse de él. Esa es toda la lista. No vendemos tu información ni la compartimos con fines publicitarios.
Quién la procesa
Unos cuantos proveedores, cada uno haciendo su única tarea: Neon (base de datos), Vercel (hosting) y PostHog (analítica de producto) — todos en Estados Unidos. Solo entregaremos tus datos a alguien más si la ley nos obliga, y te lo informaremos salvo que la ley nos lo impida.
Tus derechos ARCO
Conforme a la LFPDPPP y a reglas similares en otros lugares, puedes acceder, rectificar, cancelar (eliminar) u oponerte al uso de tus datos. Escríbenos a privacy@hola.career desde el correo que usaste para registrarte y lo atenderemos en un plazo de 20 días hábiles.
Por cuánto tiempo la conservamos
Hasta que nos pidas eliminarla, o hasta que cerremos el servicio. Los datos agregados y anónimos (como "cuántos registros vinieron de México en marzo") pueden quedarse, ya que no pueden asociarse contigo.
Cookies y analítica
Solo lo necesario para operar el sitio, más analítica de PostHog de origen propio — un identificador anónimo para tu navegador, que podemos vincular a tu correo si te registras. Sin cookies publicitarias ni seguimiento entre sitios. ¿Prefieres no ser contado? Bloquea la analítica, activa "Do Not Track", o escríbenos a privacy@hola.career y te dejamos fuera.
Cambios a este aviso
Actualizaremos esto conforme cambie el producto; la fecha de arriba refleja la versión más reciente, y destacaremos cualquier cambio importante.
